A Light Paddle will Change your Experience: A heavy paddle takes more energy to lift and pull through the water and overall is a bummer to use. In addition if you have existing shoulder issues, it's very easy to strain your body while using a bulky paddle and overall not have a good time. A typical Aluminum paddle (that comes with an inflatable) ranges from 2.5lbs to 3lbs, while an adjustable Lava Paddle weighs only 1.1lbs! You can immediately feel the difference when you hold it in your hands and perform your regular paddle stokes.

Scooped Dihedral Blade Technology

The Lava blade is designed to correct poor alignment often associated with fatigue and injury. The Scooped Dihedral shaping holds the water securely through the power phase, eliminating lateral blade movement and delivering force in a smooth and efficient manner.

The extension of the tapered scoop towards the toe allows the paddle to remain stable and deliver power, even if you fail to get the full blade in the water. This toe shaping also ensures a clean catch and efficient blade release.
