Kids League & Tours

Kids jumping in to the water

Want to find a way to get your kids OUTSIDE to play, exercise and adventure? We have put together a Winter Kids League Program for them to hone in their paddling skills, participate in games and explore their passion for the outdoors. We are offering a 2-hour Winter Kids League session every Sunday, 10am to 12pm. We understand how scheduling throughout the winter can be hard with family outings and weather, so we decided to offer a flexible Winter Kids League Pass for $399. This pass is good for any 10 out of the 19 Winter Kids League sessions between November 8th to March 28th. You must register for each session at least 12 hours before the class and will be contacted Friday if the session is needing to be canceled due to weather. You must have the pass to attend Winter Kids League.

This program is for children ages 9 to 14 years old. No stand up paddling experience required. Each session is limited to 11 kids. Kids will be required to have a wetsuit and booties for this program and are given a 20% discount off the purchase of this equipment through Mike's Paddle. This is a great way to keep your kids out and adventuring all winter long! These programs promote team-building, leadership skills, and foster a life-long love of living an active lifestyle through outdoor aquatic sports.

Where else in Alameda can we paddle? That is what some kids are saying after falling in love with paddling out of Mike’s Paddle in Ballena Bay. So, we decided to offer some Kids Estuary Tours throughout the winter where we will be bringing boards and equipment to the Grand Public Boat Ramp on the estuary side of Alameda to show the kids this awesome new area to paddle. These tours are $99 per tour and kids must have taken our summer camp, kids league, or private lesson to attend.

We ask that you drop your kids off at the Grand Public Boat Ramp at 10am the day of the tour and pick them up in the same location at 1pm. Have them come to the tour on-water ready so we do not waste a lot of time changing. We will paddle around Coast Guard Island and explore the Oakland Estuary depending on conditions that day. This is a super fun adventure that will give kids the experience of paddling in a different part of Alameda.
