hile we are lucky to have lots of access to water in the bay, hard boards can be tricky to transport if you don't have roof racks and can be impossible to store if you live in an apartment or condo. That's why inflatables are great options for some paddlers, they pack down nice and small in an easy to carry bag. The Red Paddle 10'8" Ride is hands down our favorite inflatable for Bay Area Paddling.

Versatile and fun shape: This is a very fun board to paddle but also very forgiving for a beginner. The length combined with its light weight gives it great glide per stroke that matches some "Touring" boards. Plus the 34" width and 4.7" thickness give the board plenty of float for yoga poses or for someone who needs a little more stability. On top of that with the unique Twin fin set up gives you great tracking and more maneuverability compared to standard single fin designs.

Made from Red Paddles exclusive MSL material, at 4.7”/120mm thick, this board provides increased stiffness at lower pressure, making it 40% stiffer than a standard 4”/100mm board. The rounded tail makes the board easy to maneuver, so it’s also a great beginner board too.

Perhaps the biggest advantage of having an extra stable board is that you can easily carry a small passenger on board, which is why the Ride is such a hit with family paddlers and those with furry friends.
